I’ve painted and drawn as long as I can remember and built a career in art for the last 30 years. I attended Art schools in Northern New South Wales and the Gold Coast, Queensland for 4 years, then adapting my own work and techniques onto that training.
I now live in Brisbane with my wife and children and paint full-time. I paint contemporary realism in oils, though I trained across a range of medium and techniques which I use in much of my artwork. My subject matter follows a path of topics that catch my attention in day to day life, evolving as my study and understanding of my topics and environments further develop.
While my artwork contains a range of detailed settings, my new work is branching into a series of more surreal dream scenarios dealing with people and nature over our planet, our self-awareness, sense of belonging and changes our presence creates in the world and beyond.
